Robin: Ah – excuse me –
Effie: Hello – oh, it’s Robin, isn’t it?
Robin: Er, yes, it is –
Effie: Oh, it’s really nice to meet you! You’re friends with Niamh, she’s my sister.
Robin: Ah right, she’s talked about you – I’m sorry, I can’t remember your name –
Effie: It’s Effie –
Effie: – and these two are Daisy and Jessica. Girls, say hello to Robin.
Jessica: Hello Robin.
Daisy: Hello! Your hair is pretty!
Robin: Oh – thanks, pet! Well, I think yours is really bonny an’ all.
Daisy: Mummy, what did he say?
Effie: He said your hair is pretty too, Daisy.
Effie: Robin, I interrupted you, didn’t I? You were going to say something.
Robin: Ah it was just – I found this in the park, an’ I didn’t know where this address was – I thought I could just drop it round, like, d’you know where it is?
Effie: Oh, that’s MY dog’s tag! He’s gone to work with my husband today – it must have fallen off his collar on the way.
Effie: Well, how lucky that you found it – thank you!
Robin: Ah, that’s okay – well, I’d better get goin’, it was nice talkin’ to yer –
Daisy: Mummy made cookies!
Robin: Did she? Well, that’s nice, isn’t it?
Jessica: Do YOU want a cookie?
Robin: Er – well, that’s really nice of yer, but –
Effie: Oh yes, do come in and have a drink and some cookies!
Robin: Ah, I don’t want to put you te any bother –
Effie: It’s no bother, that’s what we were just going to do anyway, and there are plenty of cookies. I would like you to, if you’ve got time – it would be a little thank you for finding the dog tag.
Robin: Aye well that’d be nice, then – thanks very much!
I like that Robin more confident and comfortable. 🙂
Thank you, yes he is making a big effort to be part of the villae now!
