Jamie: So, what we’re going to do is, paint one letter on each sheet of paper, nice and big, in purple paint – and then we’ll put pink glitter on –
Jamie: – and then we’ll string them all together on ribbon! What do you think?
Jake: Um – I think it sounds horrendous….
Robin: Ah not it’ll be brilliant! That’s Lizzie’s favourite colours, and it’ll be dead special cos we made it for her, she’ll like it much better than anythin’ we could buy.
Jamie: Exactly! So, do you want to make a start on that? Just write the letters on the sheets, so we’ve got a guide to paint over, while I go and get the paint and stuff.
Robin: Ah –
Jamie: You okay with that?
Robin: I don’t want to mess it up…
Jamie: Well, how would you mess it up?
Jamie: It just has to say ‘Happy Birthday Lizzie’, just one letter per sheet, nice and big like this…
Robin: Yeah but – I’m not all that good at spellin’…
Jake: I’ll do that part, Jamie – you go and sort out the paint. And don’t forget those plastic tablecloths, I don’t want paint all over the bar.
Robin: I’m sorry, Jamie…
Jamie: It’s no problem, sweetie!
Jake: I imagine you must have missed out on a fair bit of school.
Robin: Well…yeah, a fair bit.
Jake: Still, you could soon catch up, couldn’t you? Never too late to learn!
