Lizzie: Robin, for goodness sake, will you stop saying you’re not good at everything – it’s just a game!
Lizzie: Look, let’s sort this out – where’s that notebook –
Robin: It’s on the dresser…what are you doin’?
Lizzie: We’re going to make two lists – things you’re not good at, and things you ARE good at, and see which one is longer.
Robin: Aye well, that’s obvious isn’t it.
Lizzie: We’ll see. Well, seeing as you’re being so negative, you tell me what you can’t do, and I’ll tell you what you CAN do.
Robin: Ah – okay…
Robin: Well I’m not good at writin’, which is why you’re doin’ the list an’ not me! An’ obviously I’m bad at readin’, an’ spellin’ –
Lizzie: I don’t think that writing and spelling should count as two things; I’m just going to put them as one.
Robin: Ah well I can’t count either! So you can put that down an’ all – I can’t do maths.
Lizzie: Okay…well let me put some things down now –
Robin: I can’t tell me left from me right. An’ rememberin’ stuff, I’m really bad at that, and, ah –
Robin: – what did I already say?
Robin: Ah, see, there’s nothin’ on YOUR list!
Lizzie: No, because I’m too busy writing down all your negatives – just be quiet a minute.
Robin: I’m not good at followin’ instructions. An’ I can’t do me Rubik’s cube.
Lizzie: Robin! I’m not even writing that one down.
Lizzie: You know, I think YOU should think of the things to put on the ‘can do’ list. Come on – be positive and tell me something you know you’re good at.
Robin: Okay, okay – well – let’s cross out the bit about me bein’ bad at rememberin’ stuff –
Robin: – an’ I’ll put down that I’m dead good at forgettin’ stuff instead!
Lizzie: Are you going to even try and take this seriously?
Robin: No, I don’t think that I am!
Lizzie: Well. Fine.
Robin: Lizzie – Liz –
Robin: – am I good at this…?
