Dan and Sadie have returned from their honeymoon…
Dan: Well, here we are – nothing like getting back to your own bed, is there?
Sadie: Oh Dan – oh my goodness – !
Dan: Would you look at that – the fluff and sparkle fairies have been in while we were away.
Sadie: Oh look at the throw – ! And the cushions! Oh it’s all so beautiful…
Sadie: There’s my handcuffs – oh we have a new bed! A headboard AND a footboard – oh my goodness!
Dan: I take it you like it all, then?
Sadie: I love it – I love all of it – oh those pictures are just what I wanted! But who did it all? Did you know about it?
Dan: Rowan wanted to do it for you – she asked me if she could, right after the wedding. She knew you wanted some finishing touches, and she thought it was a good way to say thank you.
Sadie: Thank you for what…?
Dan: For arranging her wedding!
Sadie: Oh but she said thank you on the day! She didn’t need to go to all this trouble…I’m glad she did though.
Dan: You deserve this, angel. You put a lot of work into her wedding, and it was really generous of you to share your own big day.
Sadie: Oh darling, I don’t know if it was generous or selfish, really…we already share a birthday, I thought it would be so lovely if we shared a wedding day too. And I knew she and Jake would feel so much happier and more settled if they were married.
Sadie: This is all so wonderful, though…look at these beautiful little bowls – and the vase – Jake must have helped her choose all this, mustn’t he?
Dan: He’s good at stuff like that – I’m pretty hopeless, aren’t I!
Sadie: Darling, I didn’t marry you because you’re good at picking out cushions! These are just perfect – but there’s this funny little plain red one, it looks a bit out of place – oh! There’s something on it –
Sadie: Ha ha look at this! I bet Rowan hid it because she knew it would give me a laugh when I found it – it’s got instructions on it!
Dan: It doesn’t look like instructions to me, angel – more like a direct order!
Sadie: Oh – do you think so?
Sadie: Well – we had better do what the cushion tells us, hadn’t we?
