Jake: You ok?
Rowan: Bit tired, that’s all. All that standing around…
Jake: You look a bit sad.
Rowan: Yeah…just wishing that was us, really.
Jake: Well, it could be, if you want.
Rowan: Oh I know it’ll be our turn soon enough – we’ve got our date booked in March, it’ll soon come round, I suppose.
Jake: Rowan, I never booked that date.
Rowan: You what? Why – ?
Jake: Because the church is booked for half an hour from now. But if you don’t want to, that’s okay, I’ll understand. And the vicar knows that, you know, you might not want to.
Rowan: Oh my god – when – ?
Jake: Since you said you wanted to set a date!
Rowan: Oh my god…I just thought if we waited till next year, you’d like to have all the fun of planning it –
Rowan: – but you HAVE been planning it, haven’t you?
Jake: Yeah – well, Sadie helped. She made you a dress, it’s at home, there’s time to change if you want to. But there’s no pressure, just say if it’s not what you want. No one will mind, least of all me.
Rowan: So how long has everyone else known about this?
Jake: Well…about a week or so, that’s all. Your mum and dad have known for longer.
Rowan: Oh my god…I didn’t know any of you were that good at keeping secrets!
Jake: So, what do you think, Ro? You want to get married right now?
